Polishing Copper Washer Sealing Gaskets

The customer provides a copper washer sealing gasket with a thickness that varies by +/- 0.002” from the nominal.  The parts are flat within 0.0025”, parallel within 0.001”, and have a surface finish that measures 63 Ra.

Utilizing one of our single-sided machines and free abrasive machining, we lap both sides of the parts to a minimum thickness.  Then we delivered these parts polished to a surface finish that measures 16 Ra or better.

In addition to the parts, we provide statistical data to illustrate the part conformance and our capability.
